Holding pattern

I have been feeling that my life is on hold for a few weeks now as I wait for the results of my comprehensive exam. Also I have the headache of internship applications which of course is due before I find out the results of my comprehensive exams. At the same time, I also need to figure out where exactly it is I want to apply to for internship. Fun, fun, fun!

I have started working which is going well. Although that also means that I am putting some mileages on my car, but nothing is worse than driving to Southern Maryland 3 times a week. If I am able to survive that, I can survive half an hour drive.

The most wonderful dream

As I anxiously await my comprehensive exam results, I had a dream about a week ago regarding it. In my dream, I remember opening an e-mail from school sent by the training department coordinator. Since I have been getting a lot of information from school lately regarding internship applications I did not think too much of the e-mail until I opened it. The first line of the e-mail reads “Congratulations doctoral candidates:” Then the e-mail goes on to state that I have passed my comprehensive exam. It would be so sweet if that the case! As I sit and wait more, I can’t help but wonder if dreams do come true? I sure hope so.
