Well, I have finally gotten my externship off the ground and sailing. The site is a good fit for me and I like the group of externs that I work with at the site. However, the site is far. It’s located in Charles County, which is in southern Maryland and it’s about an hour drive for me to get there without traffic. Luckily I leave early enough in the morning and I also would be going against traffic so that I don’t really hit much traffic in the morning. Well of course unless it’s the time of year when people are trying to get out of dodge, then that’s a completely different story. Knock on wood that I haven’t experience too much traffic traveling to my site in the mornings. Coming home, now, that’s a completely different story. I was driving home on Tuesday night and it took me a whole 2 hours! Ok, so the weather wasn’t the greatest and that it was drizzling. I figured that when it’s raining people don’t really know how to drive on wet pavement, but come on, this is ridicules. Looks like that I really need to play with the timing of my travels so that I am not sitting in traffic and wasting my time.
In a completely different note, I saw my first client on Wednesday and I am completely excited :)
